A Behind the Scenes Look at CND and The Blonds- Premiere Orlando 2012

Hi loves!!!

Today I have something very different from the norm. As many of you know I had the opportunity to attend Premiere Orlando 2012. This was my first year attending and the bar was set extremely high for next year's show. One of the most amazing things I got to experience while there was an exclusive behind the scenes look at CND and The Blonds. I've decided to split the coverage of the show into two parts so as not not overwhelm you guys with too much awesomeness. Today's feature will be of the backstage and make up room coverage.
I was pretty much having the biggest fangirl moment of my life being in the presence of some of my favorite designers and being able to see and touch pieces of clothing that have been worn by the likes of Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry among others. I still cannot believe I got to do this!

China Glaze Summer Neons Weekend Mani

Hi loves!!

Today I have a mani I did last Friday to rock during this, most eventful, weekend. I really wanted to do something that was eye- catching and colorful so the choice was made that I would be doing something with a watermarble. I know I still owe you guys swatches of the China Glaze Summer Neons 2012 but I cannot stop playing with them in terms on nail art. Here is what I landed on.
For this tropical mani I started with a base of One coat of Milani White on the Spot. Once my White canvas was dry I went to town with colors. There are few things I love more than seeing a plain white canvas be transformed. I went for the Index/ Middle finger accents in gradients. For the gradient nails I used Surfin for Boys, Beach Cruise-r and Ride the Waves. For the gradient technique I tried yet another tutorial which I have posted below. For the marbled nails I used Loves a Beach, Splish- Splash and Sun Kissed. I just love all these colors together. Just TOO much fun!  Of course they were topped off in my mandatory coat of INM Northern Lights and Seche Vite.
I kind of sort of love how the pigments in the color blended together in the marbling to create new colors on top of the already awesome neons. I got tons of compliments on these and I was so not looking forward to taking these off. I really cannot wait to show you guys swatches of these China Glaze Summer Neons.

**EDIT** For my marbled fingers I used filtered water and in shot glass. I found that using a shot glass allowed me to get more swirls onto my tiny nails than the small paper cups I had been using. Since the shot glass is such a small diameter it requires less polish to create a tight bullseye.

Here is the tutorial I followed for my gradient. Nikkie used a nude base, which I realize now I should have done on my gradient nails instead of my white base. I love this girl. She is crazy talented!
Thanks for stopping by!

LTHP gets a Makeover at the Rock your Hair Stage- Premiere 2012

Where do I even start?

This past weekend was absolutely incredible and this is only the first of many posts. While cruising up and down the aisles of the Premiere Orlando 2012 Exhibitor Floor with my girls Brittany, Courtney, Kimberly and Toni; Courtney got stopped by a stylist who was working the Michael O' Rurke Rock your Hair booth. He loved her edgy style and wanted to get her up on stage for a haircut by Michael, who is pretty much a legend when it comes to hair. He then turned to me and thought I had a great bob to work with so he offered the same to me. With a little push from the girls we jumped on board... BEST move ever!
I love this before and after collage. The after shot is courtesy of Courtney.

Might as well have some fun with it right?! Another great shot by Miss Courtney. Rockin' my hair!

Cult Nails Enticing and Scandalous

Thanks Marta....

You and your awesome posts giving me lemmings and shiz... So yeah.. Long story short: I saw these colors on Marta's awesome blog and I had to have them. End of story lol. These two pretties come from Cult Nails' Divas and Drama Collection. Marta says that she was just returning the favor since, apparently, I am constantly creating lemmings for her :D! So I guess I should be thanking her for MAKING me buy these two pretties.
Cult Nails Enticing
Enticing is a very pale Milky Pink crelly with the most subtle hint of shimmer. The shimmer in this is what made it so special to me. This polish does for my nails what Illuminating powder does for my face.  Enticing seems to add a healthy glow to my nails. This was one of the things that Marta mentioned in her post that really made me take the plunge. I am a sucker for anything that gives my hands a fresh and healthy look. The formula on this color is hands- down amazing! This only took Two coats!

Cult Nails Scandalous
The other day I used the expression "lip gloss for nails" when I was referring to this one jelly shade. The same could be said about this fabulous shade of jelly Coral. Scandalous is a super wearable shade of muted Coral. As you may know I have a slight lady-boner for anything jelly so this baby had to come live with me pretty much the second I found out that it was not only Coral but squishy. Flawless formula, Two coats.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Cult!

Today I am attending Premiere Orlando, which is like a smaller CosmoProf but in Florida haha. I am pretty excited and I shall come back with tons of news and stuff.

Have a nice Sunday all!

Essie Brooch the Subject and Madmoiselle- Lazy Chic

Hey it's Saturday!!!

Today I have Two pretty polishes by Essie. I've decided that I need some more Essie in my life. Whenever I try their polishes I'm always really pleased with everything about them and yet my Essie collection is very small. I like their range of classically pretty colors. I used to find them very boring but my tastes have really shifted and now I'm really attracted to Essie's soft, clean palette of feminine colors.
Essie Mademoiselle over Essie Brooch the Subject
Mmmmmm! This is kind of a "bonus deal". The way I came to own these is that I received a PR email from Essie about a nail look that Amy Adams rocked on the red carpet and I HAD to re-create it. On her nails Amy wore Essie's Brooch the Subject as a base with Mademoiselle layered over it. I'm not gonna lie... I kinda really love this look! I love the squishiness and shine that Mademoiselle adds to Brooch the Subject. I know, I know.. How boring am I? But I mean just look at how clean and fresh my hands look!

Essie Brooch the Subject
Brooch the Subject is one of those- ever popular- Band Aid shades. This one seems to lean more towards the Tan side rather than Peach so it is extremely wearable without looking too matchy matchy. Nice shade for the lazy days. The formula on this color is extremely easy to wok with and it does great in Two coats.

Essie Mademoiselle
Mademoiselle is a very soft and sheer Milky Pink. I guess this is a nude jelly? If you were a fan of O.P.I's NYC Ballet Collection then you'll love Mademoiselle. This color has a really nice formula as it does not streak or drag.
And there you have Two Essies for those lazy days when you still want to feel a little chic :D!
